Bjursåsskolan 7-9 is looking for a Spanish teacher

Bjursåsskolan 7-9 belongs to the Bjursås school area. In the school area, there are three schools: Bjursåsskolan F-9 (two school buildings), Grycksboskolan F-6, and Sågmyraskolan F-6. All schools are rural schools and have close access to beautiful green and forest areas, as well as good opportunities for outdoor and sports activities. The school area consists of about 600 students and up to 100 staff. The work of the school area is led by a principal, and each school unit has an assistant principal.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will teach Spanish to students in grades 6-9. You will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching, as well as create learning situations that support students' development and align with the school's governing documents.

The position has a focus on teaching Spanish but will also be complemented with other tasks. Approximately 60% of the working hours will involve teaching Spanish, while the remaining part will be shaped in dialogue with you and based on the needs of the operation - for example, teaching in other subjects or other assignments at the school.

Qualifications

For this role, the following is required:

• Primarily, we are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications to teach Spanish in grades 6-9. You may also be of interest to us if you have documented good knowledge of Spanish combined with other education or experience that the employer deems relevant.

Personal Qualities

You are a responsible and clear educator with a positive attitude and good communication skills. You have a good approach and find it easy to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are flexible in the face of short-term and long-term changes, which are part of the educational work.

Group dynamics are important to us, so we place great emphasis on personal suitability.

• Previous experience as a Spanish teacher

This is a temporary position until June 17, 2026, with a start date according to agreement. The position is full-time, but there is an opportunity to request a lower employment rate.
